In neighboring regions, there is the Hellenistic / Roman city of Perge, which is rated second after Ephesus and the great amphitheater of Aspendos that still today can hold nearly 15.000 viewers. Nearby as well are the fantastic Manavgat Falls and the Roman city of Side with its large amphitheater. Only a few miles to the west is Antalya with its surprising harbour and ancient city and where Turkish handicrafts that have begun to be recognized internationally can be bought.

There is Burdur, the Roman city of Termossosa that is located in the high mountains above Antalya and was founded by Alexander the Great in 333 BC. The Hellenistic city of Olympus is also in this region.
Climate: The summer season is about 8-9 months long. The climate of the Belek area is typical Mediterranean: hot and dry in summers and rainy in winters. Sunshine is guaranteed form April to October and the winters are pleasantly mild. The winter lasts only from December to March. The summer is very hot with temperature often rising above 30°C in June, July and August.. The humidity is a little bit high, about 64%, and the average water temperature is 21,5°C. Showers are unlikely in the summer months, but the rainfall is quite high in winter.

The whole resort has excellent restaurants, bars and nightclubs, tennis and watersports facilities making it ideal for the whole family. In addition there is rafting, diving, jeep safaris, horse riding, paint balling and many other activities all within a short drive. Antalya city centre with its picturesque harbour, numerous shopping, leisure and entertainment facilities is within half an hour drive.

Kadriye & Belek offer numerous shopping facilities, cafes, bars, restaurants, bank, currency exchange, post office etc. There are 3 private hospitals within 10 minutes drive. There is also a huge bazaar every Saturday morning in Belek where you can haggle to your heart's content.

There are 14 International golf courses nearby suitable for all levels of ability. Belek was recently featured as one of the places to go in Golf World's Golf Escapes 2007 supplement.The Taurus Mountains offer skiing 1 hour away during Winter. White-water rafting, excellent walking countryside, fishing and hunting. Children's Aquapark nearby.
